Our Own Dog Made A Full Recovery From A Complete Rupture Of Her Cruciate Ligament With A Custom Posh Brace For Dog. We Had Learned The Facts About Dog Knee Surgery. The Small Cruciate Ligament Between The Femur And Tibia Helps To Hold The Bones In The Correct Alignment. When The Cruciate Ligament Is Partially Or Fully Torn, It Allows The Painful, Malaligned, Forward Movement Of The Tibia, When The Knee Is Bent, Or Load Bearing. This Is Called “Tibial Thrust.”
A Bio-mechanically Correct Custom Posh Dog Knee Brace Provides Immediate Relief For Your Dog With A Canine Knee Injury, By Globally Stabilizing Your Dogs’ Injured Knee, And Correctly Aligning The Femur, Tibia And Knee Structure. A Good Dog Leg Brace Does This.
The Posh Brace Actively Suppresses The “Tibial Thrust” By Holding The Tibial Bone In Correct Alignment & Allows Your Dog To Exercise & Walk Again. See Numerous Detailed Stories Of Our Customers On Review Page

Elbow Braces can help relieve pain and lameness for the following:
Elbow braces can also be used post-op, for patients undergoing surgery to correct an OCD lesion or tricepts tendon avulsion. We have helped patients recover smoothly with our custom elbow brace.
The likelihood of elbow hyperextension and luxation is decreased with elbow bracing, and the front leg is more stabilized, allowing the dog to resume normal activities. Due to the laxity of the elbow joint, the custom elbow brace is made to offer medial and lateral stability. Through a tight connection with stainless steel articulation joints, it can also offer support in the anterior and posterior planes of the joint. To purchase one of our braces click here.
You’ll do everything you can to boost your dog’s mobility and lessen their misery if they limp or are in pain due to an elbow injury or condition. The greatest way to enhance your pet’s quality of life may be a personalized brace. Your dog’s comfort and movement are our main objectives here at Posh Dog Knee Brace.
When a tendon is overextended or twisted, canine ligament injuries happen. Although they happen more frequently in the dog’s knee, tendon rips can also happen in the elbow. As the elbow heals, joint pain can be reduced and the elbow can be shielded from further harm by wearing a tailored brace. The elbow orthosis gives the upper arm medial and lateral stability.
The elbow brace also maintains the forelimb in the ideal position and stops the dog from applying excessive pressure to its wounded elbow. A front leg brace can be used for dogs with an injury as well as dogs with osteoarthritis or degenerative joint disease who are experiencing joint pain.
Dogs with dysplasia or arthritis should keep a healthy weight. Obesity will increase joint pain and put additional strain on a dog’s front legs. Choosing the proper orthotic brace for your dog is essential since dogs put most of their weight on their front limbs, which causes their elbows and shoulders to experience a lot of wear and tear.

Dogs may have one or both front legs equipped with canine elbow braces. Bilateral elbow braces are a common term used to describe a dog wearing two orthotics on both front limbs.
The rehabilitation of your dog includes more than just a customized elbow support. Dogs do not evenly transfer their weight across all four legs, despite popular perception. Instead, 60% of a dog’s total weight is supported by the front legs, carpal, elbow, and shoulder joints. Therefore, finding a secure means to support your dog’s front end may also be important for serious elbow injuries and joint pain.
For dogs with elbow dysplasia, rehabilitation treatments are helpful in addition to bracing. A pet with elbow problems may benefit from massage and hydrotherapy, among other treatments. Swim therapy and underwater treadmills can help to strengthen the front leg muscles while causing less discomfort and stress on the elbows. A reduction in overall elbow pain can be achieved by strengthening the muscles surrounding the elbow joint. To lessen joint pain when the dog moves during treatments, a supportive brace may be worn.

How We Helped Mona The “Tripawd” In Less Than 48 Hours With A Custom Made, Great Fitting Posh Dog Knee Brace
No Casting Required! – Mona, A Special 8 YO Girl With 3 Legs – Kentucky
Monas’ Mom and Dad contacted Posh Dog Knee Brace on February 28, 2016. Their beautiful girl had her right forearm amputated because of osteosarcoma in mid-January 2016. Then barely a month later, she suffered a complete rupture of her right hind leg cranial cruciate ligament. She literally could not stand, as her entire right side legs were gone.
In 48 hours, on March 1, we had Mona walking around again in a Posh brace, even though we’re hundreds of miles away. No other custom brace company can offer that level of expedited service. Learn more about Monas’ story and dozens of other success stories at our Testimonial page.
No Casting Required. – Mare, Mom of Twizzle, 7 YO Adorable Terrier – MI
Comment from Posh Dog Knee Brace: Our customer, Filmmaker Mare Costello, has made a wonderful short film about her adorable girl Twizzle and her non-surgical recovery from a severe CCL injury, wearing her Posh Dog Knee Brace!]
“Twizzle, the wonder dog and actress, has been through a lot since the end of last November when she was chasing a squirrel halfway down our block leading to a diagnosis of a stage 3 CCL (ACL in human terms) tear. Surgery was immediately suggested which when I found out how much the cheapest costs, how 75% of the dogs tear the other, not to mention, the kind of recovery we would still be doing I chose the lesser known route of conservative management, photonic red light therapy, changed her diet from the ground up and found out about the Posh Dog Knee Brace!
Enjoy this video that speaks to this. I’m more than happy to answer any of your questions as I’ve been documenting her progress since the beginning. She has now been in this recovery for 226 days total with a re-ingury making a new total of days 116 and the last 54 using the brace. She is stable but still has months more of recovery.
We even have cool hand painted black/white “Twizzle” t-shirts to raise funds for her recovery and awareness to the alternate methods of handling your dogs life threatening knee injuries. Send a request to info@freeproductionsllc.com.
Recovering With NO surgery (& No Casting!) Tracy M, Mom Of Kona, 9 Year Old Husky, Arizona
NOTE from Posh Dog Knee Brace: Just like us in 2013 with our Beloved Angel Pasha, Kona’s parents were given ONE option for a severe bilateral CCL injury to their beloved boy: major surgery at a very high cost – on a 9 year old boy. See the before and after vids below of handsome Kona. Here is the note Tracy, Konas’ Mom, sent us:
“Handsome Husky and Posh Dog:
Bad luck! Bilateral torn CCL! Both need surgery. These words greeted our ears from the friendly neighborhood vet who sincerely sympathizes with our precious pup, Kona. Sadly, the cost of surgery was prohibitive and unattractive for our situation. As a happy nearly nine year old husky, Kona loves long walks, playing in the back yard, and sleeping on the cold tile. Tearing his CCL ligaments stopped all but one of these favorite activities. We went on a hunt to find an alternative treatment to return Kona to his fun-loving self.
“Through a thorough internet search, we found Posh Dog knee braces. After reading research and watching YouTube videos of the product in action, we decided that Posh Dog knee braces were perfect for Kona. The service was amazing!
We completed the simple measurements and photos and within 3 days Kona was wearing his new knee braces. His first time on them was a little shaky, but by day 3 he was able to walk 15 minutes twice a day. He went on his first outing since his injury to a favorite walking path along the Colorado River and he acted like his old self – sniffing, trotting, and chasing other dogs. Thank you Posh Dog for providing this awesome product and service for our handsome husky!”

Massage, anti-inflammatory medicines, and hot or cold packs are all natural ways to aid a dog with their pain.

Similar to their human counterparts, dogs and puppies experience pain following an injury, illness, or surgery. There are natural ways to relieve pain in dogs, regardless of whether it is acute (severe and recent) or chronic (continuous or recurrent).
If your dog limps, has difficulties walking, whimpers, whines, decreases activity, licks or chews a limb or other region, or appears restless or agitated, pay close attention because dogs are known to hide pain. A physical injury, osteoarthritis, hip or joint difficulties, infections (such those affecting the ears or bladder), gum disease or teeth, or cancer could be the cause. While not all symptoms necessitate medical intervention, consult your veterinarian if your dog is clearly in pain.
When your dog howls after hurting himself while playing or running, or after surgery, such when your female dog is spayed, acute pain occurs rapidly. As advised by your veterinarian, be prepared to give injured dogs the rest, a cozy bed, calm surroundings, easy access to water, and pain-supporting treatments they require to heal more quickly.
For acute discomfort, cold packs are frequently used. Apply one by sandwiching a tiny piece of cloth, like a tea towel, between the dog’s skin and a frozen gel pack, frozen veggies, or a bag of ice or ice shavings. To prevent tissue damage, move it often. For recent injuries, swelling, bruises, and inflammation, cold packs are advised. During the first 48 hours, they can be used repeatedly for up to 10 to 15 minutes at a time.
Chronic illnesses can persist for weeks, months, or even years. Numerous conditions, such as osteoarthritis, worsen over time. Gentle (not hot) warmth from a heating pad, hot water bottle, dry or moist warm towel, or heat wrap can help relieve joint pain and other discomforts that restrict a dog’s range of motion. Applying mild heat for 15 to 30 minutes at a time while taking equal amounts of rest is possible. In addition to improving blood flow to the affected area and preparing muscles for stretching or exercise, this treatment helps reduce pain, muscle spasms, and joint stiffness.
Medicinal herbs known for their anti-inflammatory or pain-relieving effects on dogs include:
The most often used herbal remedies for dogs’ natural pain management nowadays are CBD oils, tinctures, capsules, treats, and salves made from hemp.
The National Institutes of Health’s medical research database, PubMed, contains more than 100 published studies looking into the potential uses of CBD for dogs. The impact of CBD on physical pain has been studied extensively, and further studies may demonstrate that certain CDB products administered at particular dosages successfully manage pain brought on by various illnesses.
Consult your veterinarian in the interim; they might have suggestions and clinical experience. Seek out companies like Chill Paws, CBD Dog Health, All the Best Pet Care, Honest Paws, or Medterra CBD for Pets that have undergone third-party testing for potency, quality, and safety. The FDA claims that label descriptions for CBD products are frequently inaccurate, which is why third-party testing is crucial. Since every dog reacts differently, start with the lowest dosage advised for their weight (or even less) and watch how they respond. Increase the recommended dosage gradually or decrease it if necessary.
Essential oils are more than just pleasant-smelling substances; the majority are steam-distilled from the leaves, roots, or flowers of medicinal plants. Copaiba (Copaifera officinalis), peppermint (Mentha piperita), helichrysum (Helichrysum italicum), frankincense (Boswellia spp.), and lavender (Lavendula angustifolia) are among the many that offer pain-relieving qualities. Essential oils are typically used to pets by massaging or stroking them after being diluted in carrier oils. Products designed for pet use help relieve pain in dogs of all ages. Blend combines fractionated coconut oil with Copaiba, Helichrysum, and Peppermint. It can be gently massaged into painful joints and other areas of inflammation.
In addition to supporting emotional stress, anxiety, and depression, Path to Comfort uses essential oils of Sweet Marjoram, Ginger, Helichrysum, Carrot Seed, Grapefruit, Vetiver, and Rose in a safflower oil base to relieve pain, sore muscles, arthritis, and limited mobility.
Use only essential oils that are safe for dogs and properly prepared.
Canine massage therapists are ready to help your dog recover from painful conditions, but there’s a lot you can do yourself. For certified pet massage therapists, see the National Board of Certification for Animal Acupressure and Massage and The International Association of Animal Massage and Bodywork.
Compared to the US, Europe is more accustomed to systemic oral enzyme therapy. After aspirin, the German drug Wobenzym is really the most widely used NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) in that country. The enteric coating of products designated for systemic therapy allows them to withstand stomach acid and decompose in the intestines before entering the bloodstream. In the US, Wobenzym, MediZym, Mega-Zyme, and FlavenZym are among the systemic oral enzyme preparations available for purchase.
Systemic oral enzymes aid in injury prevention, expedite the healing process following surgery or accidents, and restore mobility to elderly dogs suffering from joint discomfort, chronic stiffness, and skin and coat issues. The website of the non-enteric-coated pet product NZymes includes multiple videos that demonstrate how pain-stricken dogs can recuperate.
For systemic effects, enzymes should be administered at least one hour before or two hours after meals. Use three tablets once daily for dogs weighing 51–100 pounds, two tablets daily for dogs weighing 21–50 pounds, and one tablet daily for dogs weighing 3–20 pounds if the label specifies a human dose of three tablets twice day.
Physical therapists, acupuncturists, and acupressure specialists have long helped dogs with their pain, and new technologies like PEMF (Pulsed ElectroMagnetic Field therapy) and laser treatments offer even more drug-free assistance. The methods described here are also used by members of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association.
Regardless of the reason behind your dog’s suffering, there might be a natural way to hasten their recuperation.

Acupuncture approach to pain management, an ancient Chinese medicine practice, has gained significant traction in veterinary medicine as a holistic approach to managing various health conditions in dogs. By inserting thin needles into specific points on the body, acupuncture stimulates the nervous system, promoting the release of endorphins and other natural pain-relieving chemicals. This can offer a valuable alternative or complementary therapy to traditional pain medications for dogs.

Acupuncture points are located along specific meridians or pathways in the body. When needles are inserted into these points, they stimulate the nervous system, triggering the release of endorphins, natural pain-relieving chemicals. Acupuncture also helps to regulate the flow of qi (pronounced “chee”), which is believed to be the vital energy that flows through the body.
If you’re considering acupuncture for your dog, it’s essential to find a qualified and experienced veterinarian who specializes in this field. Look for veterinarians who are certified by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) or similar organizations.
Conclusion:
Acupuncture can be a safe and effective holistic approach to managing pain and other health conditions in dogs. By stimulating the body’s natural healing mechanisms, acupuncture can help improve your dog’s quality of life and reduce reliance on medications. If you’re considering acupuncture for your dog, consult with a qualified veterinarian to discuss whether it’s the right option for your pet.
